hi can anyone out there help......
my pc crashed and have had to rebuild from recovery disc but obviously have lost all my data and software etc....the main problem i have now is that i have reinstalled my wireless network connection ...netgear MA101 but whenever the pc is switched on it wont maintain the internet connection without reconfiguring the security settings and encryption etc and the screen resolution alters to 8 bit. This happens every time the pc is switched back on again....i have reinstalled the latest driver for the netgear from netgear.com website...the procedure i have to follow at the moment is switch on pc....once loaded i have to alter screen resolution using icon in tray, next i have to double click on the red monitor icon(blueyonder icon indicating if connected or not, red for not green for yes) i then click on configure and enter the ssid code then security tab to enable encrytion and select 128 bit once this is done and password is enabled and ok is clicked the icon then turns from red to green and i have connection with no further problems.....i think the problem maybe something to do with service pack two being installed....incidentaly the screen resolution problem does not occur on the pc when someone else uses their settings !!!!
