Hey all....

Well, just when you thing you know it all and there is nothing left to learn.. rolleyes.gif

I have done so many dual-boot setups I lost count. I like to set up a harddrive with two partitions, one very small and one most of the harddrive, and install XP on both of them. That gives my clients a back door if the main OS corrupts/crashes, virii, etc. and the can go in through the small XP and pull their data off. It has saved several users who have thanked me for that setup.

Okay, I slipstreamed XP with SP2, and now when I attempt to install the second XP on my alternate partition, I get the message that XP will not allow this. Huh? Sounds like a phone-in? Except that MS says you can do multiple boot setups in the "Browse XP CD" screen on the operating disk.

Anyone got any clues?? blink.gif

Just for interest sake, I made some inquiries and have heard from dependable sources that sometimes a slipstreamed XP disk (like I have) will give wierd messages when installing. Continuing to investigate.
