it is the simplest things that always get u.

2 pcs, 2 nics, 2 cables 1 hub.

what configuration do the NICs have to have (as far as TCP/IP) in order to see each other?
one is windows 2K3 server and the other is a FreeBSD machine.

I've heard somewhere that you can use ftp to do this, but I am not sure about.
