How do I add the desktop icon to the task menu at the bottom of my screen so that when I am working in one application and I want to immediately go to my desktop and select another application, I don't have to minimize all open applications in order to view my desktop?

Hi vip4bham,
The icon is normally there by default, just aside the Start button... it's located at C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch (Windows Explorer command, show desktop)

On your keyboard press the "windows" key and then "M". It will take you to the desktop.
