While surfing online (I have cable / broadband connection) my pc occasionally pop ups the dial up (Connect ISP_) and if its under a window and i do not check the taskbar my browser window is frozen till i cancel out of the "connect isp_" popup. This does not happen all the time ;(

What causes my Connect to another dialup isp window to popup ?
I like to remove this annoying popup

Hi goixiz, welcome to SAF

Sounds like you have some malware running there... you should run updated AdAware SE and Spybot S&D first, then post back if it didn't solve this issue...

You can also try to view what processes are running on background and try to cancel/disable some <Ctrl +Alt +Del>

Hope this will help,

Chris

i ran adware and have spybot and a few other check my system
It seems to be fine

Only certain times the popup occurs

I thin it has to do with windows networking or something of that sort. I like to find out what is trigering it

Check your running processes... maybe you have some Yahoo, MSN or AOhell stuff trying to connect...

Note that AdAware and Spybot may not recognize all bad things you could get from the net, including some viruses. I recommend you to post a HijackThis log at "Malicious code" forum, in order to some more skilled person look at it.

Doing that, do not use the same topic title/description, and do not copy/paste your first post above, or there is a risk that your new post will be locked or erased as "duplicated". (better use "HijackThis Log" +"please take a look" or something like this biggrin.gif
