I have a cable broadband connection. It hangs often and causes me to have to reboot my cable modem. I am not going through a router. Whenever I reboot my computer, the Internet connection does not connect automatically. In order to make it work. I have to reboot my computer and then reboot my cable modem and wait for a few minutes. This is cumbersome... especially to have to do it every 15 - 30 minutes or so when working online. Any suggestions?

My B-cable doesn't need to be re-booted except every 6 mo's or so when they decide to chg my IP..... you might what to ck for some nasties running around:
