I know thats an odd request. I have a test system that I want to infect with viruses and then try to remove them using
Chronomoim VirusLive. If anyone could let me know where I could safely obtain these it would really help me. Thanks.

Weird, but okay...

Good Evening,
I intend on staying away from this for obvious reasons. However, if I were brave, would I create a folder on my desktop save and scan? I do this all the time with other stuff (new ADAware program, etc)
I have Trend Micro. My question, is this the best and safest way?
Chris
Just depends on how you look at it and approach it I would think. I use a second test system for anything like this. Nothing comes near my production machines.
And ... it does put Trend through a good test. Nothing made it's way into the system as the Real Time scanner stopped the download dead in it's tracks.

BAD! Please don't use REAL viruses to test a system.
http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htmLet me intoduce you to eicar. It's a test file that av firms agree to detect, BUT it is NOT a virus, I don't even think it's executable! It was made for the purpose you request. If you've already run the test just keep this in mind for the future (@ everyone else as well!)

Sorry guys...this has gone far enough. We cannot have live links to virus downloads.
