Have you created additional address books?
Tools - Address Book - Tools - Options - Addressing - New
Is this where you are talking about? You can make different books and call them "personal" "business", etc.

it actually didn't work the way you suggested however i did work out how.
Tools - email account - directory - add new directory or address book - next (then you name it)
but now i don't know how to get the ones already in my personal list over to the business one without having to retype everything???
any help would be great

Hi artmum
I don't have the answer for you, but maybe Dashwood knows how it's done.
Just a thought though, can you copy and past the address over to the new address book?
Highlight the address and click on copy, then go to the new address book, and past it. You might have to put in the rest of the information by hand, or maybe you can copy and past that also, not sure.

Hey maybe I'm going about this the wrong way.
Are your address stored under your "contacts" folder?
I'm using the Folder List on the left pane, and if I click contacts it's my address book. If I rightclick "contacts" I can copy it to a new file and delete out the contacts I don't want. Would that help you?

You should. We use the same version of the program. Does this look familiar?

If you haven't put anything in the business one yet you can delete it and then paste the copy of "contacts" as business.

I like folder view myself. So much easier to work with. Glad you got it squared!
