Whenever I open a folder to view it's contents, the files and folders are always displayed as "tiles." How can I change this default option to always show the files and folders as "details" instead of "tiles?"

Just click on "view" and select the way you want to view your files.

You can also redefine views for all folders. (click on <tools/folder options>)

Here are some specific instructions.

Go into Windows Explorer. Change the view to how you want all folders to be. Then Click Tools (on the menu) and choose Folder Options. Click the View tab. Click the Like Current Folder button on the upper left. Click OK.

This will apply the same changes you made above to all folders.
