JACKSON VIRUS ALERT
Computer users have been warned about a virus carried on an email which claims Michael Jackson has committed suicide.
The email offers users the chance to click on a suicide note left by Jackson at his Neverland ranch.
But clicking on the link allows a "Trojan horse" virus to be uploaded onto PCs.
The email is written in poor English and says Jackson made a "suicidal attempt" (sic) at his ranch.
The virus was discovered by the British security company SophosLabs.
Sophos security consultant Carole Theriault said: "The sick minds behind viruses and other malware often exploit celebrity names and news stories in an attempt to infect as many people as possible.
"All computer users should be very careful about clicking on weblinks in unsolicited email or launching unknown attachments."
