It was reported that Microsoft Internet Explorer has a vunerability that allows a DoS attack to crash the program. Javascript that calls an infinite amount of modeless dialogs containing the page it was opened in can be used to create an endless loop and cause IE and the underlying OS to crash.

While there was no solution available from Microsoft at this time, it is suggested that disabling javascript will prevent this from happening.
