Hi,
I am helping someone at another computer forum. He sent me a question that I cannot answer. His question to me is:
QUOTE
How do I save the photo that I downloaded from my digital camera to my computer?  I used Acrobat Reader and ACD Programmes to edit my photo.  I then tried to select all the photo and then copy it to CD through the CD writer.  This did not work.  What should I do exactly to save my photo to CD?  How can I be sure my CD writer is working?

I have e mailed him and told him that I would get back to him either tomorrow or the next day.

Hi Jeannie,

Acrobar Reader is not a photo editor, and ACD I suppose he means ACDsee (or something like this)...

Digital camera pictures are common files, and if they were downloaded to his computer, they can be saved on a CD or other media, as any other files.

If he can save, for example, a document or a MP3 file, there is no reason he can't save pictures, exactly as any other file, except if his CD burner is not working... in this case, he will not save anything biggrin.gif

Maybe he is not operating his CD burner software correctly ?

You can't actually help him without knowing how he is trying to write to cdr/rw.

What software is he running (Nero, Roxio, etc). If he is trying to "drag and drop" in explorer, he will need the packet writing software installed.

XP does have a built-in CD recording wizard, also known as IMAPI burning wizard. He may need to make sure the service is not stopped. I think there is also an update or two that patch this service.
