Good morning everyone
HEy I have several machines that wont run the post even.
Thi first is a PIII that has been overclocked by someone before I got it and it will not run the post
the second is an old PII with a nice looking little case that served me very well
The third is a PIII that will not run the post either
any suggestions as to how I should diagnose the probs would be greatly appreciated.
Have tried to run post with each with one stick of known good ram, video etc, no luck
Also has anyone had any experiance luck with one of the diagnostic post card that slide into the PCI slots?

UNplugging everything except the vid card and hard drive is something to try.
Basically you have to replace parts till you find the culprit.

If someone has been messing with overclocking and it doesnt post, then you want to do two things;
- reset the CMOS battery (or remove it for a minute)
- check the jumpers (if any) on the motherboard are set up correctly for the speed of CPU
For all 3 though, strip them down to the bare essentials like Steve says above .. trial and error troubleshooting by removing components might be the only way of finding the problem
