Well, im doing an assigment at the moment, and having a bit of problem. all of a sudden when every i press return, instead of moving down one line
like this it goes

like this.


Do you get what i mean? basically its putting 2 breaks in when i only want one. I didnt change anything, it just started all of a sudden.

sounds like "paragraph" is set to "double" instead of "single" space... (sorry, my Office2000 is in Brazilian Portuguese, but I think you can set it on -format/paragraph- after selecting all in your document)

This happens mostly when you import text from other sources, like e-mail.

Hmm, i think it is cos I was erm... pasting "references" into my assignment from the net.

I tried your suggestion but no luck! Thanks tho.

Not the end of the world, but really annoying now ive noticed it

Select the text/paragraph in question...all lines of it.

FORMAT - PARAGRAPH - LINE SPACING - SINGLE (or dbl, 1.5, etc.)





Or, if you're pasting it it may be coming up as an image or formatted text. Try going to the EDIT menu and choosing PASTE SPECIAL. Then choose PLAIN TEXT. Then it will lose any formatting it had.
