Hi DJ Sweet Lou, and welcome to SAF biggrin.gif

Can you do the following please:

  • Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

  • Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against this item, making sure you don't get any others by mistake:

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [compatui] D:\WINDOWS\System32\compatui.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

  • Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files, and delete it:

    D:\WINDOWS\System32\compatui.exe

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

  • Go to the top of this page and run Trend Micro's Free Online Virus Scanner: it's under Virus Info >> Free Virus Scan. Download it, install and update it as prompted, and have it perform a full system scan. Reboot again afterwards.

When you have done, post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.
