when i start the computer a message will pop up:
Starting desktop login on display :0. . .
Wait for the desktop login display.
and nothing will happen
anyone know why this might be happening? thanks in advance

More information is needed to answer this question.
What version of Solaris are you running, and are you running the x86 build or sparc?
If x86 architecture, what video card is in the system?
If sparc architecture, what framebuffer is in the system?
