Hi,

I want to setup a small office wireless network of 6 machines which share one printer and a BT ASDL Broadband connection. Please can you recomment the best wireless ASDL router to use

Thanks keybrd.gif

Most brand-name routers will handle either cable or DSL (ADSL) and they normally can handle 4 direct wired computer connections and lots of wireless. You should look for one that will satisfy your security needs (D-Link is a pretty good choice) as well as your print server needs (there are a number of routers available that will provide one networked printer port - either USB or Parallel).

I couldn't see one single unit on the D-Link site that would give you the wired/wireless router & print server combination, although I do know that they have (or had) them with Parallel Port Printer service (Dl-714P+). You might need to go with a wired router that also provides printer service & a wireless access point to support those requirements with this manufacturer. HERE's one from SMC that gives you the printer service in USB form.

Could go separate print server too, then your printer doesnt have to be within 10ft(ish) of the router. Linksys has always worked for me and they have cisco behind them now - doesnt get better than cisco.
