I've just carted my CPU to my friend's place last week, discovering that my RAM chip was spoilt and now, this! rofl.gif

Problem: my IE couldn't open pages. Then it stopped opening, stating "Internet Explorer is experiencing some techincal difficulties". (Am operating from Firefox now, which a friend sent)

Meanwhile, I have a couple of other questions that may all be related to this:
1. How come my calendar keeps getting out sync?
2. My Norton has expired and am relying on Avast and others (Panda, AVG, TrendMicro,McAffee). Are these sufficient?If my IE was infected by a virus, then these have not detected it at all.Panda detected a worm but did not offer any help in removing it.
3. My Start menu also disappears or malfunctions occasionally.

I understand that others may have asked such questions before but I can't seem to find any references in the list of topics.

It is not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program running. Uninstall AVG (I consider avast! to be better).

What calendar are you referring to?

the calendar - as in in date/time on your toolbar.

so do you have any idea why the IE shuts down? 'coz firefox is not exactly the most user-friendly browser around. would still like to use IE and solve whatever's the problem that has struck my PC =)
