Hi all, I am about to get an 8 mg internet connection and I want to connect up 2 PC's I may get my PS2 in on the act. Can you tell point me in the right direction as far as wireless routers go, the one they are going to offer me is an Action Tec GH704WG but I have to say I don't hold much faith in it as I am yet to find a single review (good or bad) I would rather go Ethernet then USB as I have had problems in the past with USB routers.

Any help would be gratefully received

Cheers

Interceptor
Usually the provider offers the modem. A good wifi router is D-Link DI-624 IEEE 802.11b/g, 802.3 Wireless. It's loaded with all the security features you need to keep your network secure. If you're in the US you can find it for $61 ($41 after rebate) from Newegg.com.

Hey Kev
(i'm also (formerly) from newcastle) lol

yes anyway, you will be, more than likely, provided with a DSL modem, perhaps at a cost, depending on if theyre being stingy.

as for the router, interceptor knows more bout them then me, but as for a UK supplier, I would recommend amazon.co.uk.

I got the required parts for my wireless network from there, although I got it easy with a combined BT WiFi/Modem setup biggrin.gif

If your unsure about a product post here first and im sure someone will fill u in on the details
