Ran across
this site that has probably the most links (with descriptions) to a phenominal amount of freeware, very well organized.

Another v. good one is Son-of-Spy. Google it....sometimes the url changes.
By the way, this is NOT spyware, malware, or anything bad!! If u go to his site, you'll see where the name comes from. ... very interesting.

This is a great site.
BUT I loaded RAM MEDIC and got "Registry Medic" as a free trial. Now I cannot unload the trial thing without unloading the freebie RAM Medic.
And, my task bar has task scheduler in it after running "Registry Medic"
Any Clues (Please move if needed)

Hi all,
I have saved it to my "favorites" too... but, after browsing some links, it appears that we have mostly "non-reliable" sources there...
Some downloading files and utilities are hosted on non-reliable sites, so, I will take care on it.
Sorry.

Have you tried to uninstall it ? (or restore your system to a previous point ?)

Hello,
I went to Add/Remove and it does not show up. The only thing that shows is the RAM Medic. It must be linked to that. I right clicked on the screen icon for Registry and there is no "Uninstall". Since it is a trial, I could just wait it out.....
Does WIN98 have a system restore?
Thanks

No...
Have you checked if it's on startup ? -start/programs/startup- If yes, remove it.
You can also type msconfig on - start/run- and try to catch and delete it from your ini files.
