I'm not sure what is your question... are you trying to run VMWare in Mandrake 9.1 or are you trying to run Mandrake 9.1 in VMWare? and what exactly is it that isn't supported? and what kernel are you currently running?

Ok...
well... in Linux you'd probably be running Firefox or Konqerour and I assume that they both have functions for removing cookies and cache. This is on a per user basis ofcourse.
all other temporary files in Linux are stored in /tmp and I think that it is cleaned of it's content every time you boot or maybe also with some set interval.
log-files are usually keept in /var/log and they are "rotated" every week or so... ( eg. file.8.log is renamed file.9.log and file.7.log is renamed file.8.log and so on until file.log is renamed file.0.log so there is this weeks logfile file.log and the last ten weeks logfiles but that is it... you can remove them manualy but ther will not be more than that)
If you are thinking of any other special question or if I misinterpreted your question just ask again.
