I recently built my own computer using specs below. I have 3 intake and 3 outake fans.(2 x 120)(4x80) I have tried them in several different configurations. I bundled all my cables to help reduce heat and improve circulation. but my CPU is still runnig in low 50's. I just put a new heat sink(Masscool) on which is supposed to drop temp by 10 degrees and it hasnt dropped at all. I am beginning to run out of money and options, any help would be appreciated.

Have you:
1. Used thermal compound between the CPU chip and the heatsink?
2. Installed the heatsink properly so that it sits flat on the chip?

There's a right & wrong way - one way it won't sit flat with that CPU and socket. There's a "step" on one side of the heatsink, and this step goes over the back of the socket ( the back has the socket type on it).

Another common problem is to have a case fan blowing directly onto the CPU cooler fan - this disrupts the airflow and can cause much less air moving over the heatsink fins. This issue is the same in all situations where you have one fan blowing onto another.
Question: Where are you reading the temparature?

I am using EasyTune 4 software to monitor the hardware. I have it set to shutdown if it goes over 60c THe cpu is running 51c idle and 57 or 58 while working. The two fans near the heat sink are outtake fans120 and 80 and hte intake fans are in the front.2x180. I also have a fan on top of the case(outtake 80mm) and a 120mm pci fan under my video card. the case itself is at30c

I tried removing the 120 mm on the back to see if it was disrupting, no help higher temp

i don't know if i can help you much..... but i'll try...
1.can i know what colour is your casing? is the whole casing black in colour??
2.do you have cooling fans on the side of the casing or you just install cooling fans on the back of the PC??
3.is your pc place in a cool environment(i mean is there air-conds on in the place)?
