Nothing showing there, flyers. What are the emails like? I get some weird ones every day, but they're just nonsense text.

Fix these:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

yesterday i downloaded a program (via limewire). I scanned them both before opening. nothing came back.

the program was CLONEDVD2. it wouldn't work with ANYDVD as it usually did. i didn't think anything of it. just used a different program that works like ANYDVD. worked fine.

then today, at work, the virus detector stopped 4 or 5 emails labeled as SPAM. i've had 1 prior to that in six years. so that's very odd. there was more than one of them from AFLAC.blah blah...it was fake and it was obvious.

now i got an email at HOME from some AFLAC extension too. here are the one's i got at home:

raymond_foerester@us.aflac.com (with an attachment)
service@state.tn.us (with an attachment)
dthom50436@adelphia.net (with an attachment)

the attachments for the first and third email were both called "our_secret.zip"
the other called "account_info-text.zip"

obviously i didn't open. smile.gif

any ideas?
HKEd
Did you complete any registration form for CLONEDVD2?

If you want to forward one of the zip files to me, I'll have a look. But I don't think it will tell us much.
flyers2thecup
no registration form.

just got to work....16 similar emails between 6 pm and 8 am.

since my work email system stops the messages from ever getting to my inbox, i'll have to send an attachment once i get home.

i'll be in touch.

thanks!!

EDIT
----------

Just sent email.
HKEd
My ISP stripped it, I think. It came with a double extension - TXT.PIF.

I'd say the most likely scenario is that someone with your email address in their address book has picked up a virus or worm that sends itself to all addresses. Not much you can do about that except be extra careful with attachments.
flyers2thecup
ok. no sweat. i don't open attachments anyways. not these days.

thanks for all your help! (as usual!)
