I have a new Thinkpad with XP Pro. I am the only user. I am unable to change my security settings. When I go to TOOLS-INTERNET OPTIONS-SECURITY, and attempt to move the slide setting from MEDIUM to MEDIUM-LOW, I get the message that, "The recommended security level is medium. Please set it at MEDIUM or higher." When I go to CUSTOM LEVEL and lower the setting and hit Reset, it appears to accept my change, but the APPLY tab does not change and the change does not happen.

The current setting is interfering with my use of certain sites, but more important, I want to understand how to use my security settings. Please tell me what is going on and how to remedy.

Incidentally, I tried to add a "trusted site" and found that did not work either.

All replies appreciated. wacko.gif

Moon,

Wouldn't they have to be logged in as Administrator to make Security changes?

My brain is MIA lately, so I may be wrong.
