Well, I don't really have any PC problems right now. And that's whats got me worried.
No viruses, no trojans, no crashes, no IE problems, no Media Player hiccups, no general annoyances, no problems at all for over a month!
It's like the calm before the storm; the longer the wait, the worse it will be. I think this time, it might explode, or grow arms and legs and kill me as I sleep.
I am really nervous. And my freak stability only came around when I installed Half-Life 2....

I'd stop worrying and be happy to be in good working condition. It's not unheard of but a blessing when it happens.

Now is the perfect time to make an image copy (Drive image, Norton Ghost, Etc). The next time you do have a problem, it will only take 20 minutes to restore your "perfect image."

Since I've installed HL2, I've never been harmed by spywares or viruses... coincidence? Maybe. But I have some security softwares running and I am allways recording "restore points"... (my WinXp is in brazilian portuguese, so some words will be slightly different).

It runs fine on my network... (Athlon 2000+, Athlon 3200+, Celeron 1.8, Pentium III 800, 256 to 512 MB RAM) maybe some stuff was corrupted during installation ?
