I have been using PM 7 for year or so and have had no problem. Basically partioning or resizing my two hd. Nothing fancy like moving partitions between drives. I am currently planning to install a 160gb hd using USB or firewire and was lead to believe that PM 7 will not partition a scsi drive over 80gb. I have a copy of PM 8, not yet installed, but after reading many horror stories about PM 8, am thinking about an alternate.

Would PM 8 be OK for what I need

Should I try something else? Will Acronis Recovery Expert Deluxe work as well as PM?

Thanks

Have not a clue about partition size, but I also have PM7. Don't depend on it for much. Have had great luck with trueimage by Acronis. In fact waiting for defrag to finish so can made an image now. I use a usb backup drive and have had no problems XXX knock on wood. Almost sure I moved all from a 80 GB drive to the 120 GB I'm using now w/trueimage. It just left some free space, which I have formated to install xppro for dual boot. HTH bb
