You're running Hijack from a Temp folder, it's very important that Hijack This runs in it's own folder.

While you're waiting for someone to help, would you please go Here and in Angoid Tutorial, he shows where to put the Hijack This.

Hi Marie...I don't see much in your log that would cause a slowdown.

Run a HijackThis scan and put a check in the box next to this line:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

Close all open windows except HijackThis and click on 'Fix checked'.

Next, click on Start > Run > type msconfig and click on OK. Click on the Startup tab and uncheck the startups for MS Office, QuickTime, Adobe and Messenger. Click on 'Apply' and 'OK'.

Reboot for the changes to take effect.

Those programs will always be available when needed. They do not need to be running all the time, taking up system resources.

Clean out your Temp and Temp Internet Files folders by right-clicking on the C: drive and selecting Properties. Use 'Disk Cleanup', then click on the Tools tab and run Error-checking and Defragmentation. Any improvement?
