Ok... here is my dilemma.

I have a number of drives made available to windows using the tool SAMBA on my rs/6000 system. When i go to connect to these shared folders in asks for a user name and password the first time. Then it is ok, unitl reboot. Is there a way to connect to the shares automatically at logon without mapping it to a drive letter? I cant seem to find a way, I believe it would have to be done on the windows side, but I have been known to be wrong from time to time.. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks In Advance

How do you have samba set to authenticate? if your not using a password server or NIS I would create the same user accounts on the *nix box as are on the Windows boxes you are connecting to and give them the correct permissions to the shares.

As for the windows boxes connecting, you could map the drive once they are able to connect without needing a username and password or write a script to run at login to connect the to the drives.
