I purchased a new computer for my daughter. The old one has Windows Me. How do I eliminate the login name and the password.
I am donating it to a needy young man my daughter's age. He and his sister do not have a lot going for them right now. He does not know who is giving it.

Look at the user profile info. I would change it and set a new one, remove the old and then remove the network logon. You could then place the new user name in a .txt readme file on the desktop.

You may also want to search the registry for any remaining instances of the user name.
