I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this question, but please advise. I have been using Netscape Navigator as my browser because it doesn't give me the annoying popups as Internet Explorer. All of a sudden, my favorites (or bookmarked sites) disappeared from the list of bookmarks when I open Netscape Navigator. Is there a way that I can retrieve them? I had over 2 years worth of favorites bookmarked.

Do you know how this happened (new software, bad webpage, editing them, etc)?

Check your recycle bin for the bookmarks file. If you find it there, restore it. If not, search your harddrive for it. If you find it, note the location, open Netscape and import it.

If not, start with your bootdisk. Change to the c:\windows\command prompt and type scanreg. Hit enter . Choose restore and pick a date from before when you lost the bookmarks. They are saved in the registry, so this might get them back.
