OK.. heres the problem. My mail server is off site. It has an address of lets say a.b.c.10.
From all internal machines on my network, noone can get there mail, ping, or tracert to that address. Luckily the mail server also uses the address a.b.c.11. Thats just a quick fix. The machine Windows 2003 server machine I am using as the nat server for my network CAN ping the original mail server a.b.c.10 and can tracert. Now.. why would one address be able to be reached, and not the other? By the way, it happened all of a sudden, been working for months, and nothing has been changed (i know, cause i am the only one who has the ability to change it, and i've been away). When i use its FQDN it resolves it to the address it should a.b.c.10. Not sure how to go about fixing this problem.. Hit me back if you need more info, or if you have a suggesttion.. I hope this is not some kind of virus

Well... solved my own problem.. I guess.. for the time being.. It was just another one of those, reboot the machine and see if it works... and it did. I guess there was some kind of routing cache and maybe one fo the hops changed or something.. cant really understand why it happened, but it works now.. Thanks to everyone who looked to see if they could help
