I was posting a review on epinions.com the other day, all the while thinking how much I'd rather be doing it here. Has there been any thought given to a review forum? I'm constantly looking around Cnet, epinions, etc. to see what other people think of software, hardware, whatever. I'd love to see something like that on this site, where I've come to respect so many people's opinions.

I reckon the forum would need just a few basic categories (I may be flip-flopping the proper use of "forum" and "category" here; haven't figured that out yet ): Software, Hardware, ISPs, etc., unless we wanted to get more specific (printers, scanners, cameras, etc.)

I think a review forum would be a good idea.

We've had a bit of a review forum in Web Links & Downloads. You can post a link to a program, and make any comments on it there. Perhaps we could change that one to Reviews, Web Links and Downloads, since they are all related.

Could be a good idea, Jim. But I also sense that most members here don't share my enthusiasm for the idea. Oh, well.

Yep. Sure hasn't been much response. But then, the traffic has been a bit slow this weekend. Maybe by mid-week there will be more input. A large part of the programs I try are from recommendations of others. There's so much out there.....
