Lately when I try to go to a forum, I get "flood control blah blah blah." (paraphrasing) What is this? If I follow up right away I get in.

This happens to me if I try to perform one search immediately after another, but I haven't had it happen under any other circumstance.

Whenever I get it, a message tellimg me to wait for 30 seconds and try again accompanies it.

If your message appears to be different, or happening under different circumstances, then copy and paste it into this thread and perhaps we might recognise it.

yeah i get that sort of msg when i go on a posting spree, just need to wait a bit then post, annoying but useful
