Have you tried a restore to an earlier date??

BTW, a dll is a application.

run pcwizard (freeware), find the sound adapter, reload drivers.

Driver problems are 75% of most all problems Sammy.

As Surfer said, post your PC info here.

Hi Sammy...

Go to Surfer's website; on the upper left corner of the web page is a purple header, "Download Latest Version", and click on the link in blue just beneath it, "PC wizard 2009". Save that file to wher you can find it on your computer. I like the desktop to keep things simple. Then install it, and post the findings here. We especially need the Mainboard manufacturer and model number, the memory information and the type of CPU. Also any information on the sound.

Hi Sammy111,
Here David from USA. You have sound problem with the sound drive. As per my opiniin , Windows XP includes a troubleshooting program which could help you resolve your sound issues. Start the Windows XP Sound Troubleshooter automatically or manually and then answer each question on-screen in order to try to find a resolution.
Thanks for that , have a nice day.
