My XP computer system crashed - DEAD, not even Safe Mode. Got it running by re-installing XP.
Good News.
Bad news is -
Microsoft Office GONE. Only thing I have left is my original Microsoft Office Upgrade disks.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to restore Office without the older Office version that was
originally used for the upgrade?
Thanks for looking.

Hi jerryh,

unfortunately, you'll have to reinstall the old MS Office from the original disks, or buy a new one.

There are free options out there too. Personally I have Open Office installed, and it works fine.

My suggestion would be to find someone with the old disks that match what you already own a license key for and borrow them to install the old version so you can run your upgrade. Keeping in mind you need to have your original key as proof of purchase.

Thanks Guys,
On your advice, I searched the attic and came up with an older set of disks.
My re-installation went great. Thanks for responding.
Case Closed.
