Recently had to reinstall Win2K Pro. Got everything back to "normal" but the "remember view settings". I have gone to "folders" and checked "remember view settings but it defaults to "list" rather than details. I think there is a registry key under
HKEY_CURRENT_ USER\Software\Microsoft and then I get lost. I think there is a "SHELL" value but I cannot find it. Of course, I prefer to fix with out altering the registry but I can work with the registry. (Note: I can find this in my laptop runnig XP pro but not this Win2k). Have searched various sites and tried fixes but they do not help.
Thanks much.
