i have a WYR-G54 wireless router (enchant) I cant figure how to disable the port blocking on ports 10010-10499 to play vanguard . I have firmware 1.1. I have tried buffalo directly and they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Please somebody help. I have wasted a day on this so far.

are you sure its the router blocking those ports? What OS do you have? Do you have the firewall running there (windows firewall)

Are you running the game as the server? or simply connecting as client? If client, you should be establishing a session which the firewalls should allow...

Have you looked up the manual for the firewall? If you have and are still confused let us know and we'll guide you through.

If you have a firewall on your computer in addition to the router, bypass the router and plug directly into the ISP cable coming out of your modem. See if your port problem goes away. If it is still there, the router is not the problem. If you have a local, hard drive software firewall in addition, that may be the problem. BTW, don't do this if you don't have a software firewall-you probably would be ok for the short time it would take, but why take the chance of being hacked?
