Right now I am using a static ip setup to connect to the internet. I have a router but I dont know how to set the network settings in xp so I can use the DHCP Server. The problem I am having is I have an IP address for my machine but the other computers I have need an alternate ip address to connect because I cant use the same IP address. I figured setting up a DHCP server would allow us to use the same IP address. I am constantly having to adjust the IP Settings manually and I hate it. help me out!!!!!!!

How exctly are you connecting to the internet, I mean is it cable, wireless???

How do you want to make the other PC used the internet? You can do ICS ( Internt Connection Sharing ) or you can make them all DHCP including your main PC and plug them all into a router or you can do the wireless thing and get all usb wireless network connectors and then install them.

After that you can then set your security settings on your router and then marry them up with your wireless networked PC's

If i am way offline its cos I need more information from you on how you actually are connecting and what hardware you have apart from your PC that actually makes the connection to the internet.

i think the easiest way to get about it is using defined's second method.

setup your router with your your IP info, a lot of them detect them nowadays anyway
apart from passwords and username.

then you can your computers to that router and start surfing away.
