Whenever I switch on my PC at the first attempt I am not able to connect to the Internet ,the Lan Area Connection Status shows 0 in both the sent and received column ,now after I restart my PC it works without any issues ,i.e am able to connect to the internet and sent recieved bar keeps on updating normally ,What can be the problem ? banghead.gif

hi raptorz
is this wired or wireless connection and what is your computer connected to, computer to modem, computer to router to modem? if router what's the manufacturer/model?

Its a plain old wired connection ,computer to modem type ,cable broadband ,Thanks for your reply Surfer!!!

you're welcome raptorz
sounds like either the network cable (compuer to modem) or the network card are causing the problem.

next time you start the computer and you can't connect call your ISP (before you reboot) and they can check your modem. if the modem is good change the cable and if cable is good try another network card.
