I want to increase my wireless signal reception but I don’t have access to the transmitting router to make any modifications to it. Is there a good USB wireless device I can buy that would boost the signal or just receive it better?
Would something like this be a good buy? Thanks for your help > Fernendo |

Why don't you have access to the transmitting router? Is it in a neighbors house?

Yeah he doesn't use his internet much so he gave me his wep key that I can use it as a backup if mine ever goes down or is too slow (which happens more than it should no thanks to plusnet!). A lot of the time I can get his signal but sometimes I can't or it's very very weak if I do. |

There may be better WiFi cards you can buy, but i doubt you'd get a good return on your investment. |

we have no way to verify that the access to the neighbors network is legit. saf policy is to not comment on passwords, bypassing network security, connecting to networks others networks.
