Hi everyone I've got a starange one here. I can't login to any webite yahoo email, ebay etc. When I try I just get redirected to the login page I started at with no explainaiton. I know the username and password is correct. The stange thing is when I connect to a USA VPN and then try to login all the sites work OK.

Why do I have to connect to a USA VPN to login successfully? I've tried deleting all temp internet files but that didnt help. I've also checked that my SSL settings are all turned on and correct.

I'm running Windows XP SP3

Thanks for your help.

Hi fernendo,

Is this a work (office) supplied computer? Did you inherit it from somebody else?

If not then you should not have to connect to a VPN server in order to surf the web.

To start, tell us your setup please.

Does your computer connect to a ADSL- or Cable-modem? Or do you use dial-up to connect to a server?
Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Finally, go Start - Run - cmd.exe [press enter or click Ok].
In the command prompt, type ipconfig /all and copy/paste the output here.

Hi thanks for your offer of help but not to worry now as the problem just went away by itself.
