I need help with setting up a LAN network where I can place all my huge files into my share network folder and just allow other computers at my house to be able to download it off of my share lan network. Can someone here guide me through on how to do that?

you'll need a router and to avoid using wire for connecting the network i'd recommend wireless. then you'll need a wireless network adapter for each computer. can be internal or usb. i use linksys but most have good reviews. d-link and netgear are 2 other top brands. install the hardware, follow the instruction very carefully. then we'll setup the network software and settings in windows.
