i am using a dlink router. but i cannot forward port in utorrent.i am using 256kbps adsl line but my downlod is so slow...i cannot see green connection in utorrent connection please help me..

i already checked this site...it only teach how to open port.i have already open port in my router. but still my utorrent says port is closed.

i think a port needs to be forwarded to an ip address. for a lan it's be 192.168.xxx.xxx (x's indicate the last few digits of the ip address). and probably is a good idea to setup a static ip address in tcp/ip properties.

ya i have set a static ip address i.e 192.168.0.77 and also i have given my ip address in router during portforwarding. but no sign of progress

Then something must be going wrong; you can research the issue by typing “Dlink XX-XXX and port forwarding” in a Google search engine and see what comes up. But of course you need to change the “XX-XXX” with your exact model; that’s how I found the previous link for you.

i haven't used utorrent for some time but seem to remember it's possible to setup any port you want because if the standard utorrent port is forwarded and enabled maybe it's time to consider that your isp is blocking torrents. i know my isp blocks torrent uploading.
maybe it's worth a try to give utorrent a wider port range to work with and enable encryption. -------------------- I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
