Hi,
A friend has a new laptop running Vista, and Dial Up internet accessed using the 56K modem built into the laptop. She would like to be able to access the internet without attaching the phone line to the laptop. Is there such a thing as a wireless router that has a phone modem built in? Or some other hardware to get this to work? I saw a thing called the WiFlyer, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere since most of the world is on broadband these days. Thanks. |

Here is an article about WiFlyer:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,1770852,00.asp And this is the company’s website: http://www.alwaysonwireless.com/ It doesn’t look reliable as you can see from the second link, and I suggest that you get a broadband connection from a reputable Internet Service Provider, as it’s not that expensive compared to dialup. |
