i simply want to share a dsl connection between 2 computers in the same room. both have nic and run ning xp. do i run the router software or internet connection wizard or both. also, with router, do i turn off firewall on the computers. one computer has 2 ethernet jacks. does it make a difference which one i use. thanks much.

do u have a router and a hub? if yes put the main line to router..and from router five on line to hub and connect your two computer in hub...u will not need extra software

i realize this is old topic but.....
a hub works fine as suggested but isn't needed. connect both pc's to the router, the dsl line to the wan output on the router. make sure dns client service and dhcp client service are on in the services panel. -------------------- I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
