Hi,
My connection is done via the company router. Can anyone give me a tip on how is it possible for me to surf the web without the company IT guys tracing where i'm surfing ? Thanks BR GSG |

There are MAC spoofers out there, and various blockers. Nothing will stop an experienced IT guy from finding you, and that is the bottom line. If you are contemplating something, my suggestion is that your paycheck is more important than visiting websites that are against company policy. We have a real bad economy going now and its an employer's market.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm the company owner and I tottaly agree with your perspective. I just don't want the IT guys to get access to my web history nor to my information sources.

Oh. That's different. Unfortunately I have been out of IT for several years now, and although I am MCP certified it has been too long and I don't know my way around the back end of things anymore. I took my tests in NT Server 4 (everybody now rolls their eyes and shakes their heads) However, you definitely can set up your configuration to exclude your end from your IT guys and anyone else since you have the authority to do so. However, in the event of troubleshooting problems, you will be on your own because as soon as an IT guy is allowed access to your profile.... you get the picture.

Thanks BR GSG ok ok ok now that all that is out of the way ....... if you have a broadband connection at home you can setup an ssh server/proxy and connect your browser to that. that will stop them from seeing where you go. If you need help setting that up shoot me a PM and I will walk you through it.... You will need a dedicated machine tho |
