Hi Guys
Posting all behalf of mate...he has had to reinsatll XP but after inserting boot disc & then PRESS ANY KEY, he gets the following error; line 1 of the INF file\txtsetup.oem is invalid Any ideas on how to resolve ? -------------------- And the lord said unto John, "come forth and recieve enternal life", but John came fifth and won a toaster

Sounds like he's pressing F6 at the early stage of the installation?
Does he "need" to install raid type drivers? |

Sounds like he's pressing F6 at the early stage of the installation? Does he "need" to install raid type drivers? He is NOT pressing F6 during installation...i have lent him my copy of Xp in case it was his disc but exactly the same error message. !! He can still login but his PC is running at a snail's speed - he obviously needs to start a fresh...any ideas how he can resolve?? -------------------- And the lord said unto John, "come forth and recieve enternal life", but John came fifth and won a toaster
